Tiles over bricks

Hi everyone I am new and hope there is not similar thread and if yes sorry and please don't ban me.
Recently I started renovation in my bathroom. I removed wooden paneling and the walls are made of bricks. The problem is with level as it is no the same, the lower half of the walls are about 25 mm deeper than the upper where is still plaster. I need to make the same level then tile whole walls with large tiles. Can anybody suggest what plaster, boards or anything else I should use ? I uploaded picture .... and hope I described it enough clear... Thank you

Welcome archi!
Wickes aquapanel board is an excellent tiling medium......if you were to fix 1/2" laths horizontally to your wall and then fix the aquapanel to that, you're almost there.

Thank you John, however I dont think I can make same level with current plaster (upper half ). Can I then plaster aquapanels to prepare for tiling?

With aquapanel being 1/2" thick plus your laths at 1/2" you're bloomin' close.....!
You can skim aquapanel no bother, but new plaster is best painted (I think - not too sure on that one) before tiling.

|I was thinking of plastering over aquapanels because the brick wall is not flat, anyway thank you

No worries mate you can dot and dab with plasterboard adhesive if you want, or simply knock the cement snots off the brickwork.....it gets it reasonably flat, often enough.

Are you talking about removing plaster from all the walls or just the two walls in the pic?

How high do you intend to tile?

Is that a horizontal pipe on the RH wall?

Is the RH wall a gable wall or a party wall?

Is that a chimney breast on the left side of the WC recess?

There's no need for any boarding on the RH wall - use a render or float of plaster depending on any damp issues.

Do you intend to replace the bath tub?
