I am tiling natural stone (quary stone) on to ply board (9mm screwed down firmly).
I am ready to go, but just noticed the adhesive I got http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav/n...refview=search&ts=1206281965461&isSearch=true specifically states not for natural stone.
And of course everywhere is shut today.
I have to get the toilet back in by end of play tomorrow, before I go away for a week (leaving housemates).

So what to do?

1) Use the adhesive and see what happens
2) Seal the bottom of the tiles, as I think the reasons this stuff does not work is that the tiles suck the moisture out of it.
3) Get up early tomorrow, get the right stuff http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav/n...refview=search&ts=1206282104590&isSearch=true, lay it before nine, then wait till the evening and fit the toilet.

I would like to take the third option, but it says not to walk on tiles for 24 hrs.

What do you think?

ok

and how long should I wait until I can fit the toilet?
(and how long can i use it i.e. sitting on it with 12 stone of weight (plus a few pounds extra to drop :) )

If time is your main problem then use Bal Rapidset Flexible Adhesive. You can walk on and grout the tiles after about 3 hours. Don't forget the flexible grout too. Other manufactueres do rapidset flexible adhesive, but on timber, Bal is the only stuff I'd use. But that's only my preference.
