Tiling on top of old adhesive

Hi

I am laying some new ceramic floor tiles on a concrete floor.

I have scraped away as much as the old cement based adhesive as I can but a thin layer remains... will it be ok to tile on top of it?

as long as you have got the majority off, none or the remaining adhesive is loose anywhere it will be ok to tile over mate

That's a relief! To be safe do you think I should prime over it first?

i would give it a coat of SBR or the equivalent ( acrylic sealer/primer )
