Hi All,

I'm currently making a small table (2ft x 2ft). So far I've made the frame, and my next step is to put a wooden top on, and tile over the top of it.

My question is, what would be the best type of wood to use for the top for fixing the tiles to? My idea was just to use a cheap wood like plywood/chipboard/MDF? Any recommendations?

The table will just be used indoors, so wont be exposed to any water or excessive moisture.

Also, what would be the best type of tile adhesive to use?

I'm new to tiling, so willing to receive any advice.

Thanks!
