Going to be tiling my bathroom floor. It has got them 8 x 2 floor boards down all sound. Do I need to ply on top of that incase I ever need to take the tiles up or can I just go straight on top of the original floor boards ?

Thanks in advance

I think I will go with them backerboards. What shall I get for a divider between the bathroom and the hall as the floor in the bathroom is going to be getting raises know with the backerboards and the tile and adhesive a good 28mm ?

That’s another reason I prefer to take it up & start again. Something similar to this http://www.flooringsales.co.uk/acatalog/Finished_Mouldings.html or a nice custom made hardwood door bar works well.

Make sure you use a quality trade flexible adhesive & grout not cheapo DIY shed stuff or you could be doing it all again in 6 months; by leaving that chipboard down, you may well end up in that situation anyway!
