Hi folk
I'm looking at replacing the vinyl in our kitchen with porcelain tiles (first go at tiling). I've read a little on backer board etc. but wondered whether the existing layer between the vinyl and the wood floorboards is sufficient. Is it stuck down well and seems pretty flat and rigid. But I have no idea what it is. Hoping you can help if I share a photo of it please. Cheers.
