I have fitted my kitchen level and am now ready to tile the splashback.

I've also measured up and it should be 5 full tiles with the spacers accounted for. Can I start tiling from the worktop (with a spacer resting between the worktop and tile) or is it still advisable to start on the second row using a batten?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Here’s how it ended up.
