Tilt And Turn windows

Hi
Have a problem with tilt and turn window
will tilt open but won,t lock at top right side on hinge side when handle is in locked postion
any help please

The gearing is broken or the keep that it locks into has snapped, bet it is a maco

Nasty horrible meachanisms and should of died a death by now just like tilt and slide patio doors have

Ive tried to adjust bottom hinge which will allow window to open correctly and lock at top but them no tilt will work. Ive Taking adjustment back and widows does not lock at top. It seems adjust one tilt does not work . Get tilt to work window does lock at top on hinge side.

Sounds like a mechanism failure, probably one of the corners as they're the weak points as the spring steel needs to bend 90 degrees, if you can ID the make on your window then you can look here...

If you are unfamiliar with any sort of pvc system mechanisms then tilt and turn mechanisms aren't the ones to start on, much better to get a double glazing doctor/service engineer in to diagnose and fix

The hinges on tilt & turn windows can be a bu+~er to set but a little perseverance can work wonders.
But to start with has anything changed that has caused this problem i.e. were they working fine before, or are these new windows, or were you just trying to adjust something and its all gone wrong?? this will help establish the facts first and foremost...pinenot
