Timber Cills on Wooden Shed

The flash band would look ok if cut to size and fitted direct to the timber cill
The edges of the timber cill would be unclad
But that would be the same with aluminium trim
It's a garden shed
I'm looking for an easy option to protect my window cills from wet rot
In my opinion flashband would look ok
But to be fair a 3mm aluminium plate cut to size and bent to fit the cill would also look ok
