Timber cladding flat roof overhang

I want to vertically timber clad a cold flat roof overhang on the fascia and soffit the same as the main walls so the cladding wraps up and around seamlessly. Do I continue the same build-up from the wall on the underside soffit and the fascia, highlighted with red and green question mark on the image

Yes in principle but you should be venting the gap behind the cladding, so that would mean having a gap in the cladding and an insect mesh fitted.

Above the green ? you would also need additional battens running left to right under the joists above the ones away from us so that the ventilation zone is continuous. Or have you not bothered venting the cladding on the walls anyway?

So vents would be required in the location of the red circles:

Though the above example is a bit different as it's render on a carrier board but the principle is identical.
