Timber cladding rain splashback

putting up larch cladding on extension. 2 sides are over 200mm from ground so no concerns re rain splashback. however trying to find out what to do with the side which has timber decking. If I apply cladding to bottom of wall it will be next to decking.

Thoughts ideas please
