Im shortly buying a thirties brick built house in Dorset and want to extend using timber frame and cedar cladding i have a wall design does anybody know if this would meet with any planning/building control objection

The local Planning guidelines and design of the extension will largely dictate what materials are and are not acceptable for your house in terms of Planning. How can we pass judgement on your design in terms of Building Regs if we have no idea what your proposed design is?
No problems with timber frame provided its done right.
