Hi,
Below is an image of the interior of our living space. I am looking to insulate with 50mm celotex or kingspan (it has tri iso on the exterior) to prevent draughts which is causing the room to be a chilly 12 degrees when it is 5 degrees outside even with the heating on max.
I would like to cover the insulation with pine or reclaimed timber but I am concerned about the expansion and contraction of the cut boards butted to the rafters. I don't really want to run beading down each side of the rafters, which would enable me to have a small gap between the new board and the rafter.
If anyone has any suggestions about a less work intensive option or design ideas it would be really appreciated.
Cheers
sorry you have to tilt your head left to see the picture properly
