Hi all,

Just a quick question about timber sizes for a ceiling and a partition.

I am going to be removing a suspended ceiling and replacing this with a plasterboard ceiling fixed to timber battons. The room size is 28ft x 12ft.

Also a partition will be created to reduce the size of the room.

What sizes timbers should be used?

Thanks in advance

For the partition wall 4inch x 2inch is ok for use (or you can use rough cut,but this wil be exactly 4inchx2inch, but will be cheaper.

Or you can buy track and stud section made from a light metal and can be cut with tin snip's,it comes in various widths.
It might be cheaper?but it is a lot easier to assemble a stud wall with, if your fairly good at d.i.y. lol

Go to drywallstud.co.uk if you want to see how to assemble it.
