Time to use shower after grouting

I will be grouting up a tiled shower area (4mm spacers) with BAL superflex grout.

BAL's "general grout" leaflet indicates that the grout should be left for 14 days before the shower is used. This is going to be extremely inconvenient - the bath was removed over two weeks ago (suite has been moved round).

Does this 14 day timescale apply to all BAL products or is at a "catch all" to cover off the less robust grouts?

Has anyone had experience of showers being used earlier than 14 days after grouting with different grouts and the consequences? Where does testing the shower fit in?

You can forget the 14 days business. Grout it one day, apply the silicone the day after, use the shower the following day.
