I've had my Hoover Logic 1000 from new, and I've had very little trouble with it. So far I've been able to get parts for it, but the timer is proving almost impossible to find. My service engineer and I are spending hours online, but I'm rather disgusted to see people advertising these as being in stock, but then suddenly they aren't! (They're very happy to take your money though?!) I'm afraid Amazon is one of the culprits (they even gave me a firm delivery date! Then I noticed that my order said 'Not yet dispatched'!), as are two other well-known spares suppliers. Not good! :(

So I'm after a timer as a matter of urgency - does anyone have one hanging around on some distant shelf I wonder? The part number is 09057258 (and there seems to be a 'type' number of 88718022) - see pic.

Alternatively, does anyone out there know how to mend one of these timers, or know someone who does? (The fault is the spin part of the cycle - it's getting missed out, and my engineer tells me a new or repaired timer is required. He's tried everything else, he says!)

Grateful thanks to anyone who may be able to help (but buying a new machine isn't on the agenda - yet! ;))!

It was clear that nobody here could help me! But the good news is that I found a timer by posting on the http://www.automaticwasher.org/ website, which is "The website and social network for experts, collectors and fans of vintage and brand new automatic washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, and wringer washers". It's absolutely brilliant for anyone with old appliances - it's full of helpful enthusiasts who have shedfuls of parts and old machines. Highly recommended! :D
