Timer for immersion?

Hi guys,
A workmate asked me today if it was possible to get a timer for his immersion. I said I had no idea but, I knew where to find out.
I think he wants an electronic thing because, he said he had one before that was mechanical and noisy. Also I got the feeling he wants something that can be hard wired, like a cental heating controller.
Anybody know if it can be done?

What is it that B & Q have that is suitable for the job?

electronic time switch for immersion heaters, which is what you wanted to know about, or go to wholeslaers, but for a one off b & q

B&Q do a GreenBrook digital immersion heater timer which are imo quite good.

Good point, I'm 95% sure they are called Immersion Heater Timers when you buy them in B&Q. If you see me lurking around the electric dept in B&Q tomorrow don't panic lol.
