Hi everyone

In the communal area of the flat, we have timer switches (about 5 in total) which used to switch on the lights for a couple of minutes before switching them off again.

Since returning from Christmas, the lights are permanently on. I have gone round to each switch to see if any were stuck but they seem ok in that sense.

Any ideas of how I might be able to diagnose the issue?

If it's the communal area it is not your concern, it is the landlords. You could be a good samaritan and tell him/her about it though.

One of the tenants has probably found out how to switch the lights permanently on. Might be a switch in the cleaners cupboard, might be a fish key.

If the lamps are fitted with LEDs (they should be) the cost is derisory.

Timed switches are a throwback to the 1950's.
