Can anyone tell me if a Corsa 'C' 1.3 CDTI has a timing belt or a chain as I have a rattle on start up which goes after a second or two. The reason I am asking is that the rattle reminds me of an old hydraulic timing chain tensioner.

as neo says its probably the hydraulics pumping up,nothing to worry about if it goes within a few seconds,just make sure you keep up the regular oil changes

had oil changes at the correct times I am using the oil supplied by vauxhall that is the low viscosity long life oil. The expensive one!!
it's a chain, I have changed the chain and tensioner no noise now
