'Tis the season of goodwill....!

My brother popped around yesterday to drop off the sprogs' prezzies and we had a couple of tinnies.

Whilst enjoying the Stella, my neighbour came knocking all a tizz.

"ive got water gushing all over me yard!"

We pop round and see she has a burst outside tap. We empty the cupboard, turn off the water, i get me plumbing stuff out the shed, We remove the tap, fit a compression blank, wrap the stub end with insulation and tape, turn the water back on.

Finished within an hour.

All she says is as we are out the door, "i suppose i owe you a drink now" then shuts the door!

I wonder what a call out would have cost....?

My brother is out of work and any 'gesture' would have gone into his pocket.

Not even a move towards a purse or wallet. Nothing. Nada.

I do hope that she does not get another burst whilst they are away in Tenerife.
