Hi,

noticed the other day the loo was leaking a little bit around the metal nut that secures to the ball valves plastic piping (bottom fed inlet) replaced the fibre washer as it had corroded, but then a knock to the pipe started the spurting again. Went to B&Q to be told it was most likely the plastic pipe had become cross-threaded and the nut wasn't fitting securely. Bought a Wirquin one, and went home to fit. Followed the instructions, fitted it in ok, reconnected the water, and it leaks out around the plastic nut on the underside of the cistern. I don't want to over tighten it and damage the threads again, can someone please help!!!!

Ok. Silly question...

There is a rubber washer, shaped like a dish, which fits inside the cistern, but looks a lot more curved than the last one, is it ok? Second there is a plastic washer. Iside or outside?

Rubber washer inside. Id put plastic outside. Tighten firmly but dont go mad, the rubber washer need to be under enough pressure to make the seal.

Will go give this a whirl now :)

Also, new isolator was leaky, think that may just be under tight though. Will report back soon!
