ive posted this in another section but was advised that this could be a building reg so i wanted to put it to you guys...

ok then gents, have a quick question for anyone in the know

ive been asked to do a PJ at my mates folks house which is a converted barn. they want to change a room which is still in its original state to an office/gym etc. they want to put a toilet in the corner (split off obviously) and was wondering if there was any building/electrical regs on the use of a fan. i.e. is it a necessity.

for the purpose of b'regs mechanical ventilation is a pre-requisite and so is a wash basin.

not sure i totally understand, the way i read it is that if you have a toilet you need a fan & a wash hand basin?

sorry for bieng an idiot, im only a spark :LOL:
