Toilet flush problem....

Bit of a novice to all this so i'd thought i'd ask to see if anyones got any ideas regarding my faulty flush....

Problem is...flush the toilet, works ok but then plunger/handle doesn't lift back up again to original positon (you have to pull it up).
Someone suggested to me to loosen nut on other side of handle, but this made no difference.

Any suggestions most welcome...thanks

If you have a 'conventional' siphon, then it's likely to be a broken spring in siphon or mis-shapen siphon body.

fix by wrapping lump of lead round the hook between lever and syphon
