I had a problem with my toilet leaking at the pan connector. Plumber came out, gave the toilet a bit of a wiggle and said it was sorted. Apparently it wasn't. Yesterday was spent hauling the toilet out, ripping out the floor and having a cry over the mess. I will also say that having your hand up the soil pipe to retrieve part of the connector is NOT a pleasant experience
I'm not sure if the pan connector should just be replaced to stop it sliding off. Going by the way he wiggled the pan, there's obviously a bit of movement there. If I replace it, would using a flexi connector be better if there is some movement? I think it's an offset connector but I'm not sure and I don't know if you can tell from a really dodgy photo . Also, the inlet pipe to the back of the pan was covered in what I assume is plumber's mait. Does it need this on it or should it not need it?
Any advice greatfully received as I'm a tad worried about flushing now lol
