Hi,
Will be putting ensuite on 2nd floor soon and measured the gap under floor boards and i have 6 inch joists. Would it be possible to put soil pipe under floor boards with this much space. The run would be no more than 2 metres to get outside but would i get enough fall, the floor boards do run the correct way, or would it be better to have the soil pipe above floor boards and have it boxed in. I know it will look neater under the floor. The waste from the sink and shower are fine under the boards but just wondering about soil pipe.

Bit tight as you need a fall in the pipework of approx 10 mm over that 2m run, after the bend downwards through the floor. Depends how much of the bend you want above the floor, which will be determined in part by the WC outlet.

Just had another look and was wondering the wall that the toilet will be against is a stud wall, would it be possible to have the waste running into the stud walll and then along and out the house wall. Is this something that people do on occassions.
