Tommy Robinson flees UK

I might be wrong, and I stand to be corrected, but I believe his upcoming trial will be the first time he's been allowed a trial by jury, it's expected he'll win.
It’s not a case of allowing him a jury trial, it’s his right. The way you put it suggests you think there is an establishment conspiracist him.
I'm not a huge fan of the bloke but he raises some valid points, so valid in fact that he's spent almost several years in solitary confinement.
He was inside for the in-valid points he raised. You’re pushing a Musck style conspiracy theory.

Why are people assuming there's a 'full' video? If Lennon snapped and punched someone out then you might only start filming then.

He's got a prior conviction for ABH and another for assault, he's just another example of Prison failing to reform career criminals.

Even if you had flights booked it's absurd to leave the country. You would know the police will need to speak to you. There's no way to paint that in a good light.

It's always better to flee the scene (and the country) when a man is lying unconscious on the floor, when declaring your innocence then?

Opinion is divided. There are definitely some who think it makes you look guilty.

Some right old codswallop being said here by the bigots.

Other videos aqnd sites are telling it as Tommy was attacked and defended himself, hence the cut on his head.
He is well aware of how people want to attack him and is more than capable of defending himself, except that defending himself always gets turned around by the media and others (like some in here) that he did the attacking as a thug.

He reported the incident to police himself afterwards then had to fly to another country for pre arranged meetings and did not flee the country as has been suggested. He knows better than that.

That doesn't match the Police statement.

The [BTP] said: “Following a report of an assault at St Pancras station last night (28 July), officers have confirmed that the suspect, a 42-year-old man from Bedfordshire, boarded a flight out of the country in the early hours of this morning.

“Detectives are continuing to work closely to progress the investigation and bring him into custody for questioning.”

You don't get to choose when you engage with the police if you're a suspect for assault.

I believe in innocent until proved guilty, so I am making no assumptions. I believe this bit is wrong, though. According to the papers, he had the cut on his head earlier in the day and posted that he had "a fight with a door".

Bigot: a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic towards a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.
It's a stretch to say anyone who dislikes Lennon is doing so because of Bigotry. Are you thinking he's being unreasonably targeted because he's white, or as a former criminal, or for his EDL membership?

Yes you can they can ask you to come in for questioning at a convenient time . Usually when the investigating officer is actually on shift

8 cop cars for an alleged assault in a train station i wonder why that was , hopefully every incident gets such a police presence

Because of the unconscious bloke, maybe. You either seem to see no police or loads, IME.

Suspects can make an appointment with Police at a time of their choosing if they are yet to arrested.
If the police agree presumably. Since the police didn't know where Lennon was going it doesn't sound like he did that.

He knew he'd hit someone hard enough they weren't moving. He's been convicted of enough violent crimes to know the police will need to question him. He decided that his 'business meetings' were more important.

Even if it's legal it's not good.

That is certainly the more sensible interpretation.

It sounds like he scarpered, smartish.

That happened to me years ago. An ‘incident' happened on a Friday, I was asked to go up to Ilford police station and talk to PC123 on Monday when he was on duty. When I got there PC123 was behind the counter. I said "I have an appointment with you" and identified myself. He shot out from behind the counter and arrested me, the wánker. Nothing came of it. Sort of.
