I get asked to do landlord checks because I am there doing the gas check.
For the electricl inspection I take 1/2 a day and charge £100 on top of the gas check fee which I do in the same half day.
The safety check always leeds on to main equipotential bonding, fixing a few minor things and 50% of the time to a new DB (£270 for new DB and Main bonding, £60 a point for any other work).
I also get asked for full rewires (£60 a point plus £270 for db and bonding) which usually comes out above £3,000.
I was undercut by an old sparks on one ladlord inspection. She was pushing me as to when I could do it, apparently anything but now is unacceptable. How much would you charge? £100, it takes half a day to do properly.
I know the electician who charged her £60 and was in there 5 minutes. I've seen him at work, he's a form filler. Never moves from the understairs cupboard.
At the moment the jury is out as to which way to jump, but I sense that due to the public backlash against the plumbing trade and over joining of the industry by computer workers who saw a program once that said plumbing pays £60k, that electrical fitting is better payed. I have certainly noticed much better attitude from members of the public, and it's always nice to be given some credit for intelligence by the governing body.
I don't get any calls for the items you listed non whatsoever. It's either a full blown job or nothing whatsoever.
Of course I have the associated work which comes through being a plumber which is showers immersions electrical side of boiler installs, motorised valves to fix, and most houses, when you are actually there have a light that doesn't work, so it's the same old story you get work by doing work.
