apart from me, any one else worked on a top loader?

(HP used to make them, so of course i worked on them)

what do you think of them
 
sorry to interrupt, but I've often wondered, what's HP?
 
I've worked on Hotpoint top loads, don't much like them to work on. I think they're pretty well poorly designed from the "work on it" view.

Whirlpool European top loads, pretty easy to work on.
Whirlpool American style top loaders, dead easy to work on.

The rest, Aramana, Maytag and whatever, don't like at all.
 
oh, but have you ever cahnged the "power unit" on a hp (the thing with all the gears)

JohnD, HP is indeed short for HotPoint (i used to work for them)
 
Sure have, old one leaked, no longer available except for rebuilds (refurbs) and the "new" one was just as bad. Machine was written off.
