Top row of bricks loose

Hi,

Our builder finished the rear wall of our kitchen about 2 weeks ago.

I am doing the flat roof with EPDM

The problem is the the top row of the bricks and blocks arent' stuck to the mortar - they are loose - the mortar has barely adhered them to the wall.

Any idea the cause and how to fix ?

If you are still on good terms with the builder can you get him back?

no after 50 weeks on the job after quoting 11 weeks he is no longer interested

Cause- probably mortar was too dry & possibly too weak.
Solution- needs redoing. Have you paid builder? -

Given timescales Builder was looking for job ans knock? the last gasp to [if you excuse the expression] get shot?
