Torch on felt

Hi Ive tried using some torch on felt with no success.

The felt is called sappi evered 4mm plain torch applied.

It doesnt have the slate surface like most felts and was wondering if I was using the right felt for a capping sheet?

When i heated it it either didnt stick or it just burned straight through I just couldnt work with it at all.

I put 2 layers of under felt down first.

Any ideas please?

I have never used that brand but if you have already torched on the underlay then you must have an idea that something is not right.

Hi I nailed the underlay down, I mean im probably doing it wrong lol

Are you sure you have got torch on felt?

The first layer nailed down is perforated.
second layer, torch on.
third layer green mineral torch on.

Use a good felt, app is a plastic asphalt.
sbs is elastic asphalt and takes less heat.

Sounds like you have a cheaper felt and over heating.

Yea definetly torch on because it has the film on the back that you have to burn off, i think i may have bought cheap felt to be honest
