Tories Are Gone.

There has been a civil war in Ukraine since 2014.
This war was caused by the overthrow of the legimate government of Ukraine by extreme nationalists
These nationalists had been openly backed by the EU/US.
It is interesting that while the Ukranian government was killing Russian speakers in the easten Ukraine, the Western media didn't show much interest, it was only when Putin intervened that they sat up an took notice
As usual you've got it a rse about face...

You didn't reply about Crimea I notice...

And now you throw the US into the mix. Who else are you going to blame?
(Anyone/everyone except Russia it seems?)

You're a 'Putin poodle' and an apologist for an illegal invasion!
Do you condemn the war crimes carried out en masse by russian troops?

"There has been a civil war in Ukraine since 2014."

You mean Kremlin backed antagonists put in place due to the Russian puppet being ousted from power and the country being taken in the same direction currently enjoyed by most E. European ex-Soviet nations, a move towards Democracy, the EU and a better life out from under the yoke of Moscow?

You didn't reply about Crimea I notice
Crimea has always been part of Russia.
Its population is majority Russian.
Crimea was ceded to Ukraine after WW2 for administration purposes and it wasn't an issue because Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union.
When Ukraine got its independence, Crimea should have remained Russian.

Russian puppet or EU/US puppet.
What is the difference.
The people i feel sorry for are the Ukranian people on all sides,
They are the real victims .
They have the bad luck to live on a geopolitical faultline between east and west.
The war in Ukraine isn't about Ukraine, its about an expansionist US/EU power bloc coming into contact with another power bloc in the form of the Russian federation.

I will miss old Boris when he goes.
There is a grotesque fascination about him, he is a bit like Trump in that respect.
He just doesn't give a ****.

How many other Eastern European nations which have aligned with the EU consider themselves "EU puppets"?

How many EU countries are led by authoritarian fascist and ruthless regimes which murder and imprison their political opponents?

Russia is no power block, they are a third tier economy, a paper tiger and a former power clawing desperately to a lost glory. They are upset that Ukraine want to be an independent , free and open European nation... that they want to remove the corruption from government. This is no expansion of the West, this is the result of the free choice of people who are sick living under a tyrant who have never offered anything of worth to them.

The Ukrainian people have shown how they feel about the Russians so don't pretend you feel sorry for them or care what they want.

This is very troubling.
We voted for a PM and he has four years to do as he sees fit. If he underperforms, we do not vote for him at the next election.
There seems to be too mnay party MP's and ministers who seem to think that theya re above the people and they do a coup to get rid of PM's. This has happened for the previous PM as well and is deppely concerning and disturbing.

No it hasn't. Catherine the Great incorporated it into Russia in the 19th C
Since the Russian Revolution, control bounced forwards and back between white and reds, Crimea was declared independent in the 1920's.
It was invaded by the Germans in WW2 and re established as independent after WW2

If it was "Russian" why would Russia negotiate an extension to a treaty allowing access to Crimean Ports in the 1990's and 2010?

When you say 'deeply concerning and disturbing'; If you mean highly amusing and ironic then yes, it is.
Strong and Stable government, they said - accusing the opposition of 'formenting a Coalition of Chaos'. Asserting that Corbyn would turn the UK into a broken state...they need to remove the mote in their own eye before accusing others of their own flaws and faults.

Catherine the Great kicked the Turks out of the region and Crimea became Russian by Right of Conquest.
By the same token we still insist Gibraltar is British, despite being within spitting distance of the Spanish mainland.

No, we voted for a party, not a president. He was only PM because his party chose him and he was supposed to lead, not to rule.

Also, most PMs get booted between elections in history. It's the norm.

Crimea was granted independence by the USSR in 1921. Then renamed in 1936.
It became Ukranian territory in 1954.
What you are suggesting is that the UK should still own the West Indies or half of Africa.
The Nazis, followed by the Soviets invaded in WW2. Stalin deported the Ethnic Tatars and they were not able to return until the fall of the Soviet Union.
Your claims of Russian identity are not recognised by the United Nations.

You can view it both ways. But, it seems we are struggling to have PM's that can last their whole term because of backbiting backbenchers in their own party.

Boris is looking at all his ministers now and thinking : Et tu , Brute?

John Majot has written that it is unwise for Boris to stay in office until a successor is chosen.
FFS, the man has not commited murder! Stop treating him liker trash!
