Touch Light

Touch light has stopped working. Checked fuse and wiring and all seems in order. Is it possible to remove the part that controls the light and turn it into a normal light with the addition of an inline switch?

I would prefer this option rather than Mrs Robs usual answer of just throw it out and buy another.

Sounds perfectly do-able. Depending on what the bulb type is (fluorescent, incandescent etc) you could fit an in-line dimmer instead if you want.

It is a mains bulb?

BAS thank you for the quick reply. The bulb says on it 60W 240V screw in type.
