i've got a touch sensitive switch which turns 3 downlights on and off in the kitchen. Except it doesn't! When i touch the sensor itself, it works fine, but when i attach the sensor to the steel cooker hood, by touching the hood i can turn the lights on, but when i touch the hood again they won't go off.

any ideas?

thanks

yes, it is to do with capacitance (that is how the switch works) it is not designed to work on a cooker hood.
