Towel Rad Near Bath ???

Hi

We've just moved into a new house - it has an electric towel we need to replace (its rusty and doesn't heat up) but is this location ok ?

Its approx 20xcm from the side of the bath - the controls look like they are outside the bathroom

Does the replacement need a specific IP rating ? And do the controls look ok ?

Yes - as long as everything is connected satisfactorily.

IP ratings only apply to the electrical parts.
Obviously the IP rating for water-proof-ness must be the maximum otherwise the water would run out so, presumably, water cannot get in - and you cannot touch the electrical pats.

Yes.
