im fairly DIY competent but this is the first bit of plumbing ive ever done.

i originally agreed with the plumber that i wanted the pipework for my towel radiator to come up from the floor, but i have now changed my mind and want to run the pipework up the wall and then out

picture shows the current set up - the wall behind is dot and dab so should be no problem running the pipework up there.

i plan on using that plastic pushfit stuff, but just looking for a step by step guide of what should be done :D

thanks
matt

as already indicated:
step 1 phone plumber
step 2 tell plumber you are a numpty and have changed your mind
step 3 pay plumber (plenty as he will now have a pig pf a job getting the chipboard up and back down, drain/refill system)

what system are you on?

combi or unvented, isolate and drain system or vented bung in attic , take up chipboard using circular careful not to cut through wires or pipes underneath, 6 ten mm elbows across up and out for each one, 6 inserts. chisel wall out maek sure they come out the right distance apart, and right height (need to measure off rad for this. cap off refil system at boiler and add inhibitor if fully drained down, let tiler tile or plasterer patch up... fit new rad.

if you know how to do all that then go for it. i would suggest plumber do it matey as there can be a lot of water in a ch system, so when you fill up again you need it to be right.
