i'm re-doing the bathroom and have taken out an old hot air blower/ heater to be replaced with a 70w towel rail and 200w underfloor heating.

The heater was on it's own circuit to a 15amp fuse (old plug in fuses to be replaced very shortly!).

Can i run these two appliances off this circuit?

Thanks

It is also absoloutly essential to ensure this circuit is RCD protected.

You also need to either extend the supplementary bonding to include this circuit, or ensure that ALL the circiuts in the bathroom are RCD protected.

You also need to ensure your main protective bonding conductors are in place, and of the correct size.

oh wait. I may have been thinking of ross on wye

Ross is a region of Northern Scotland according to the mighty wikipedia

The location only has a bearing on Part P notification.

The key points are:
  • 1. (Per RF) must be RCD protected
2, You should fuse and switch these separately. You'll probably want an FCU for the floor heating and a separate one, with a neon or a timer, for the towel rail.
    3. Fllor heating must be earth screened type (eg NOT carbon film, etc)

Fuse sizes wil depend on the rating of the towel rail & UFH system.
