Hi everyone
About18 months ago I had my shot Danfoss 3 port valve replaced with a Tower VAL322MP. All ok at first as only needed hot water. When central heating needed the system banged noisily. Gradually getting worse called the engineer who replaced the Tower unit with another of the same.
I recently started to use the central heating and this problem has repeated only this time a lot worse.
On Auto timer and switching from HW to CH the valve bangs and the pipes shudder to the point that it serves as a very good alarm clock.
I would be greatful for any help as, apart from the Tower valve being shot I am unsure of what to do next.
Do I need to replace the valve with a Danfoss unit? Just to save draining down Can a Danfoss actuator replace the Tower one
Just for info I have an Ideal FF230 boiler, Danfoss FP15 programmer and Danfoss thermostat controlling the system.
Many thanks for any help
Tony
