Transexuality

What exactly is the point of this thread, other than to see which of two posters can go the longest? The law recognises trans people, end of. The rest is opinion, which, like an arsehole, everyone has, but we needn't see it thanks.
Evidently some people have an ideoligical objection to trans people, and like to illustrate their prejudice towards a monority group despite the fact that the law recognises them as genuine.

You somehow failed to notice the word "all" in the text you quoted.
So your request was again a carerfully selected request (hopefuly) designed to illicit the response that you desired.
...
Show me the paragraph that says a person is legally trans if they are a man who says the magic words "I am a woman."
...
The law clearly recognises the two years that the trans person has been living.
So that is a legally recognised part of their life.
The legal system has recognised their two years of living in the gender that allowed them to live by declaring the magic words "I am a man/woman".
The word "all" only applies for them to obtain a GRC.

They aren't "magic words". They show an intention to live their lives in the gender that they feel most comfortable.
The conditions are not necessary for trans people to live that life.
Those conditions, in full, are required in order to obtain a GRC, which allows them to change the label of sex on their birth certificate, and the sex lable with HMRC. Those are the few extra benefits gained with having a GRC. It does not afford tjhem any other tangible societal benefits.
It also shows that obtaing a GRC is an arduous and protracted process.

So if someone says they are a “Man” and I don’t believe it, they can produce a downloadable document to prove me wrong ?

No, I asked a clear and straightforward question to see if you could substantiate your belief

And your reply showed you to be wrong.

They don't need to, unless you intend to doiscriminate against them. Then they still don't need to prove it to you, only to whoever would process the case for discrimination.
Of course, in the first instance, and to avoid lengthy proceedings, they might choose to prove to you that they are the gender that they choose, but that production of proof would not be simply to refute your belief. Your are entitled and welcome to your belief, even if it's wrong.

Oh we doing a bit of patronizing now are we, about par for the course where your concerned.
The question whose pushing for this perverted view of the world where children's bodies are being mutilated where they will never be able to reproduce again as long as they live. Where minors are subjected to what would be considered pornography not so long ago. Where the sporting world is being turned on it's head.
Who are the people behind this perverted view that have passed laws for it too be so.
Doesn't seem to bother you Bloom, in fact you come across as a cheerleader for this warped ideology.

And most men who say they are women have not done it.
So what? It isn't necessary, and it's a protracted and arduous process, and it's only necessary to obtain a few extra benefits.
They're still protected in law.

If you believe that, you're entitled to your belief.
But the legal system has recognised their two years of living in their preferred gender, which was achieved just by declaring themselves to be that gender.

How do I apply for a Gender Recognition Certificate?

Under current UK law, trans people applying for a Gender Recognition Certificate should provide:

  • the completed form
  • their original birth certificate
  • their deed poll
  • “Proof” that you’ve “lived in your acquired gender” for 2 years (this takes the form of your passport, driving licence, bills, payslips, other correspondence)
  • 2 medical reports, one of which has to be a medical practitioner from the “approved list”. Please note that you may have to pay a fee for each medical report.

The legal system recognises those two years as a qualifying period. Thsoe two years are the minimum qualification period.
