transferring outlook express files

hi i tried dropping them into outlook dbx file folder i renamed them too but when i opened outlook up no new folders i will try the trasfer wizard thanks for help so far

Open OE
Click File>Import>Messages
Select Outlook Express 6 and click next
Click Import from an OE6 store directory. Click OK.
Browse to the folder containing the dbx files you want to import. Click Next.

Select the folders you want to import, or all and click Next.

yes done that igorian . it comes up saying canot open files they are being used by another programe . nothing is ever that easy when it comes to computers hey

Are you sure you are looking at the correct files?

Are the files still on the old disk, or have you copied them to somewhere? They won't import if they are on a CD/DVD.

i've only moved them to my documents on new drive thats where i was importing them from . thanks for all help so far much appreciated

It's always difficult when you can't see the machine. If you want me to remote in and have a look, let me know.

Did you also copy/move the file 'Folders.dbx' to your Docs folder? If not, then the import will not work... That is how I read this...
