Transformer location in loft

Looking for some advice on location of 12v downlighter transformers in the loft of a new extension. There will be 270mm of insulation so I will have to try hard to get them above the insulation .... or shouldn't I worry?

Also, would you bother to cut away the loft insulation above fire rated downlighters?
 
Read the light fitting instructions re the space from insulation.

The transformers need to be in an area where they can disipite heat. They will overheat and shut-down otherwise. Either that or burn out / casue fire.
