I've just erected some trellis 2 inches from my neighbours side of house to grow some climbers - honeysuckle, roses etc. I've not fixed anything to her wall, the posts are independantly in the ground in my garden and the trellis is free standing.

My miserable neighbour has now started moaning that this trellis and climbers is going to cause damp in her home. The garden has always been next to her wall and the soil is no higher than it has ever been and is well below the damp course.

The climbers are not the type that have suckers on to fix themselves to the wall, they will be tied in to the trellis or will be wrapped around using their own growth.

Does anyone know if my trellis and climbers are going to cause any problems?

they already have

but just let them grow, with a bit of luck they will grow so much you wont see your neighbour

no they wont cause her any problem. politely tell her to **** off
