I was mainly referring to the previous few pages discussing the rights and wrongs of the invasion around Ukraine wanting NATO membership. And it made me realise that Putin would probably have gone ahead anyway but just come up with a different reason.
Seems to me like Zelensky is scamming Trump
Trump is keen to do a deal for the rare earth metals that are in Ukraine..............but the known and geological accessible minerals are mostly in the occupied region or near by
so Trump wouldnt benefit a cent unless he can boot out Putin.............but his surrender deal is about giving that region to Putin

Are you saying that Churchill did have a chance to make peace? What is the analogy with Zelensky? I'm interested, but I have to admit my history is a bit rusty!

No just pointing out trannys mistake regarding the UK standing alone
those on here arguing that negotiating a "peace deal" with Putin will end the bloodshed, should read what all the experts and history tells us:

It's very unclear where these minerals are. Maps seem to show most of them in the occupied region. But a couple of articles say only 20% is there. Other articles say their value has been widely overestimated. It's really hard to get good information about other aspects as well. Trying to find out how much aid USA has given to Ukraine yields figures anywhere from $70bn to $175bn.
So, what was transam's "mistake"? I thought he made a good point about standing up to bullies. But I don't have the historical knowledge to know how pertinent it was!
as usual Trump was BSing when he said $350b
I believe EU has given around the same or more than USA
and certainly individual countries like Germany and UK have given far more as % of GDP terms
I find it hard to watch Trump talking when its shown on the news the non stop lies are just so tiresome

I lost track of what this is about, but I believe you were praising Zelensky. I believe he is a wonderfully courageous man who has played an extremely weak hand with incredible skill.
I think it was simply that you said Britain stood alone, whereas others would argue we had the Empire with us.
