He certainly seems to be getting quite active again, Venezuela, Iran.

If he manages to pull it all off, regime change in Venezuela resulting in a democracy and the oil wealth benefitting the people, removing the Mullahs from Iran and giving the Iranians the opportunity of a democracy and restoring their oil wealth to work for the people rather than spending their entire wealth on a futile attempt at destroying Israel, leading to peace in the middle east.

Please, please please could anyone of the left wing nutjobs on this forum explain to me why any of the above is a bad thing.

Please don't respond by saying 'he's only doing it to steal their oil' he's got enough already, and please don't say 'he's only doing it to divert from the Epstein files', that really sounds quite stupid.

So, lefties, let's have some reasonable debate on this.

I'm not a lefty.

But democrat and Republican senators have addressed it correctly.

Let see you right wingers criticize pootin, African dictators etc but support Trump doing the same. Without congress approval don't forget

J D Vance says the invasion was about recovering "stolen oil".

Is he a lefty?

George W. Bush and Dick Cheney at least pretended their illegal invasion of Iraq and toppling of Saddam Hussein wasn’t about Iraq’s oil. It was about democracy! WMDs! Al-Qaeda!

The issue, which has been discussed several times before on here, including by OP filly, is that the USA can't actually use much of its own oil. The reasons are complex. But the upshot is that the USA needs heavy oil of the type which Venezuela produces. At the moment they are having to import if from other areas.

Trump wants to secure resources more locally, and he sees it as the USA's right to dominate and exploit nearby countries in order to do so. This was formally announced as his new doctrine just before Christmas. Along with his statement that they "have to have" Greenland. Many see Venezuela as just the first in a long line of such interventions.

Wanting to buy Greenland has been around for a while now, Truman made the first offer in 1946. I suspect it won't happen and Russia will walk in and take it anyway.

Tell that to the Iranians holding banners praising his very existence.
You think that makes Venezuela events right?

And the repercussions of dictating his policies on other countries?

But then protest at refugees ?

You are a little mixed up with your thinking
