In a political vacuum, should we allow the most violent gang to dominate?
A political vacuum was intentionally created by Israel and USA.
Israel had a duty to withdraw with security and administration in place.
They abdicated from that duty.

The duty to withdraw from occupied territory is a cornerstone of international law, with obligations to ensure security and administration for the local population during the withdrawal and to facilitate a peaceful transition.

But Israel has been ignoring International Law during this conflict.:

• During occupation: While an occupation continues, the occupying power must ensure the basic needs of the local population are met, such as providing for public health and education. This includes managing public property and respecting private property.

Israel was denying the basic Human Rights to Palestinians.
