Your opinion is noted.

So you are wrong then? :D

I made an error,

So you were wrong then?

which was pointed out,

By me, :D that you were wrong.

and I acknowledged it

Wot, being wrong?

and apologised.

For being wrong.

It isn't the first time,

That you were wrong.

and it won't be the last.

...time that you will be wrong.

Gloat all you like,

Hang on then..... 8) 8)  :D :D     :D :D   :D :D :D :D

That`s better.

it doesn`t change anything

It does, it changes the fact that you were not right, viz-a-viz wrong :D

No, you are wrong, because if it changed the "fact that I was not right", then I would become right, which isn't what you meant.

If you're going to gloat, at least be accurate about it. ;)

Fair enough.. Is this accurate enough.    :D

i have always found top entry TRV's to be troublesome, complaint usually that rad turns off too quick, because the latent heat rising from the rad affects the TRV
That is why the recommended mounting position for the TRV is with the head horizontal. It is then not affected so much by the heat rising from the top of the radiator.

Streuth ! I never thought that a radiator valve could stir sir such passions

OK then - I'll install the valve at the top with the flow IN and take the return flow back to the boiler from the opposite end bottom. I see there might be a problem with rising heat but I'll risk the valve turning off too soon - I'll just crank it up a little to compensate.

Thanks to all who have made contributions relevant to the topic.

Now, I think I'll make a quick post on religion....
