Trying to find unusual sealing washers for shower mixer tap

I heard the shower running last night whilst switched off! The cause of the leak turned out to be fairly obvious – see pic below.

Does anyone know of a source for replacement sealing rings please? They seem to be a sort of silicone material in a U shape.

Also, could there be seals missing completely? Seems unlikely that they could not leave a trace behind so I am guessing not.

Can’t find a makers name anywhere on the shower :(

I went to Plumbbase and they didn’t have anything like it but gave me some O rings. Not convinced that they are worth trying though…

Hi BrianS,

Try a search for the Shower Doctor (Showerdoc) I had a problem identifying a part so emailed them a photo and they sorted it out.

PS also try Lunns plumbing site, lots of pictures of shower valves you may be able to ID bits there.
