Can’t seem to get the hive to operate the boiler help please. Used a 5 core cable from boiler to hive receiver and no communication between them. Have I wired it wrong or something? Also I didn’t have a thermostat before I bought the hive

The wiring looks right to me. All I can suggest is:

1) If the boiler has an integral timeswitch has it been set to be permanently 'on' 24/7?
2) Are the conductors (not the insulation) making good electrical contact under the screws?
3) Do you have the correct version of the Hive receiver? (ie the single channel and not dual channel)

It’s ok just sussed it.
I have put it to continuous on and the hive is working now.
Thanks tho

And now you are going to phone a registered gas installer to carry out 26/9 checks to make sure combustion etc is ok due to you opening the combustion cover.
