Thanks for all the replies so far, much appreciated
The insulation tape was me being pedantic about having exposed wires until I figured out a replacement
I thought about hard-wiring the switch to be always on (still fused tho), but as I rarely use the Cooker Hood, I swapped the 2 switches around instead until I figure out the best permanent solution .... or just leave it as-is.
At least the dishwasher now finished it's cycle without any problems
Before I put the broken one back in I removed the internal rocking connectors so it couldn't accidentally be switched on even if the switch is flipped.
I also taped it closed on the wall after I reassembled it all just for good measure (pedantic
)
Anyone got a replacement recommendation for them other than the Legrand ones which I found ( http://www.legrand.co.uk/en/en/liblocal/pdf/Synergy grid systems.pdf )?
The top 2 terminals had 2 wires in each and were chained across the set of switches. There were single wires in the bottom part feeding in/out of their respective fuse.You've probably guessed, but that isn't going to be especially cheap![]()
You know the switch you've removed, was there just a single wire into each terminal, or did two of the terminals have two wires into each one?
All I know is that these switches have their own breaker switch in my main fuse panel, so it's a standalone circuit - if that's relevant in any way?The thinking was that it was on either a ring final, or mid way along a radial, and the wires look to have just been made safe with insulating tape.

The contacts aren't the issue unfortunately. The rocking connectors (which looks like they're mounted in ceramic or hard plastic?) has a perished/burned hole in it and the pin that sat within it has slipped down and re-set out of position.give the contacts a clean with cilic-bang or washing up liquid to remove the black. If the contacts fall out out should be able to clean it enough to get it working again for a few months+
