Tulip door linings

If you pick the linings yourself you can normally get them knot free.
Although tulip is a 'hard' wood it's not hard at all and will dent just as easily as pine. Tulip is a nice wood to work with, it machines well and takes paint well but defiantly don't choose it because you think it's harder than pine.
Redwood pine is fine maybe use beech on high traffic areas?
