My low-cost tumble dryer recently stopped working and I found upon inspection that the electrical fan had broken and a thermal cut-out was activating. I applied a measure of Araldite to bond the broken fan and performed a quick no-load test. Yesterday evening I conducted a successful fully laden test with a combination of different fabrics. I now intend to monitor long-term durability of the bonded component with a 1202 hour endurance test. I will inform of progress.

In summary, don't give-up on your broken cheap dryers, but the real lesson learned is you get what you pay for - my Bosch washing machine hasn't missed a beat despite constantly being used on a heavy soil cycle. ;)
